Collect data on spotted knapweed at one of our weevil release sites. Search the wetland for established biocontrol insects.

Todd Breitenfeldt is a longtime science educator and co-author/editor of Montana’s Field Guide for the Biological Control of Weeds in Montana, developed with leading biocontrol scientists and program leaders. Since 2022, Todd has worked with our Busy Beaver volunteers and community members to release specialist weevils at the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve to help control spotted knapweed—supporting our commitment to reducing invasive weeds while minimizing herbicide use.
Todd will also have FREE copies of their Montana Biocontrol Field Guides for attendees.
