Join us on the historic railroad berm on Saturday, October 24th from 5:30 – 7 PM for a spooktacular celebration of fall wildlife! As the sun sets, gather to witness the crows returning to one of their favorite autumn roosts in the wooded wetland, filling the evening sky with their raucous calls. Keep an eye out for beavers, too, as they become active before dusk—busily preparing for the colder days ahead.
Bring your kids, costumes, and curiosity! We’ll take a short stroll through the preserve to watch the corvids (American Crows, Common Ravens, and Black-billed Magpies!) come in to roost for the night. Dress up as your favorite corvid or nighttime mammal if you like. Take a wildlife quiz and win a prize!
Light refreshments will be provided including hot cider and hot chocolate. A limited number of chairs, binoculars, and two spotting scopes will also be available. Bring your friends, family, or just yourself to enjoy a night at the wetland.
