New Wetland Naturalist Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sacajawea Audubon Society (SAS) is developing a new naturalist course with a focus on wetlands, covering various aspects of wetland ecology and environmental science, tailored to Montana’s unique landscapes and ecological characteristics. Each class will be structured to ideally combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on activities or field observations. Each topic will have a subject-matter expert drawn from Montana State University, Society of Wetland Scientists, and local specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The approach is a curriculum that focuses on the natural science aspects of wetlands with a concentration on the understanding of wetland ecology, hydrology, soils, plants, and wildlife. The course covers topics that will provide a comprehensive understanding of the complex ecological interactions that occur within these ecosystems with an emphasis on scientific observation, analysis, and interpretation, integrating field trips and hands-on activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

June 23, to, July 25, 202<\/em><\/strong>6<\/strong><\/em>
In addition to classroom and hands-on activities, at the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve, there will be field trips to other wetland and riparian areas within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem of Montana.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cost is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$275.00 for Busy Beavers  <><\/strong>   $325.00 SAS members  <><\/strong>   $450.00 Non-members<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve makes every effort to award scholarship to the Wetland Master Naturalist Course when circumstances require it. Request an Indreland Audubon Wetland Master Naturalist Scholarships<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
